Cachucha Standard Poodles

Located in the sailing town of Burnham-on-Crouch, Essex, Cachucha is a small, family run kennel, specialising in quality apricot and red standard poodles. 

The driving force behind Cachucha is Rowena Parker, supported by her husband Tim. Rowena has been involved with dogs and horses from very early childhood and it is she who trims, prepares and exhibits the poodles, amongst many other things. Now in her forties she continues to strive to improve her depth of knowledge in the vast array of subject areas relating to her four legged friends. Her most recent project has seen Rowena involved in an in-depth study of the genetics involved behind the variety of colours seen in the poodle. Should anyone have any questions concerning this, or any other poodle related subject, she would be happy to hear from you. If she doesn't know the answer to your question you can rest assured she will make it her her business to find it out!

As you will see during your visit to this site, we enjoy participating in various activities with our poodles, including comformation showing, obedience, agility and even canine modelling. Our poodles do not live in kennels, but share our home and our lives with us. We recognise the different personality of each dog and take pleasure in enjoying life with each of them in a different way.

Cachucha occasionally has red and apricot puppies available. Please note, however, that we only breed when we require a pup for showing and/or for our breeding programme.

Cachucha is a Kennel Club Accredited Breeder and as such, health, soundness and good temperaments are of paramount importance to us. We regularly have our poodles tested for SA  and vWd and only breed from those who have tested as clear and who have good hip scores and clear eye tests.
